TENNIS-SPECIFIC STRENGTH + CONDITIONING

Build the Body Behind the Game.

Tennis development isn’t limited by skill alone.
Players break down, plateau, or lose consistency when the body can’t support the demands of the game.

NXG Tennis-Specific Strength + Conditioning is designed to build the physical foundation every Yellow Ball athlete needs — so skills hold up under pressure.

This isn’t general gym training.

It’s movement-first, tennis-specific development focused on:

  • Stability before power

  • Efficient movement patterns

  • Balance, coordination, and control

  • Durability for long-term development

Our fitness training supports every phase of the Yellow Ball Pathway, helping athletes move better, play longer, and progress safely as intensity increases.

We don’t train harder.

We train smarter — so the body supports the game, not limits it.

What to Expect in a Fitness Session

Each NXG Tennis Fitness session is structured, coach-led, and movement-focused.

Athletes progress through:

  • Dynamic movement prep to warm up and activate

  • Stability and coordination work to build control

  • Tennis-specific strength that supports speed and change of direction

  • Integrated movement and power that transfers to the court

  • Cooldown and reset to reinforce healthy movement habits

Training is always scaled to the athlete’s level and readiness.

Athletes leave feeling stronger, more controlled, and better prepared — not worn down.

Who It's For

Tennis-Specific Strength + Conditioning is for Yellow Ball athletes who need their body to support their game.

This program is ideal for:

  • Players ages 10–18 progressing through the Yellow Ball Pathway

  • Athletes whose movement, balance, or stability limit performance

  • Players preparing for higher-intensity training environments

  • Athletes looking to improve durability and reduce breakdown

Placement is based on readiness, not age.

Class Format

Session Length: 60 minutes
Group Size: 8–15 athletes

Schedule:

  • Friday: 6:00 - 7:00 PM

  • Sunday: 4:00 - 5:00 PM

NXG Fitness sessions are coach-led, tennis-specific, and movement-focused.

Each session emphasizes:

  • Stability and control before power

  • Efficient movement patterns

  • Athletic footwork

  • Balance, coordination, and rotational power

  • Strength that transfers directly to the court

Classes are structured, purposeful, and scaled to each athlete’s development level and readiness.

Fitness is added intentionally to support on-court training — never as random volume.

PROVEN EXPERIENCE. REAL DATA. TRUSTED DEVELOPMENT.

Over the last 25 years, NXG’s coaching leadership has trained 16,000+ athletes — from elementary beginners to NCAA Division I and professional players.

Our work is grounded in:

  • Real athlete data

  • Applied sport science

  • Rehab-to-performance development

We’ve seen what works, what breaks athletes down, and what actually holds up over time.

That experience shapes every decision we make — from placement and training environments to how players progress safely and effectively.
